So we stored my birthday cake in the kitchen icebox because there was no room in the fridge. Guess who found it early one morning when I had my back turned? Yes, what you see is fistfuls of frosting.
You are the best blog writer, Sandy. And I'm thrilled to have come across THREE blogs in one day. I am laughing heartily at this photo--looks like he had to set aside a bag of potatoes first. He's been reading too many Cook's Illustrated mags! He knows what's good.
Three blog posts in one day I think is a record. So easy when all I have to do is post funny pictures! Good eye, Mollie, on the potatoes-- he had to take those out and all the tin foil covering the cake, too.
So psyched! Not every day you find a cake stashed in the wall.
Wow, he was very neat about the tinfoil. I probably would be sitting there with cake in lap and tinfoil half off the cake! But not Sasha, he was ready to slam that door shut as soon as you turned around.
Yeah, three blogs in one day. It was a great way to start my day. Thanks!!!
That is such a GREAT picture! I think you could send it in to somewhere and win a prize for the funniest photo. Wow, he really had to work to find that cake. He must have been watching you put it away! Or he's got a good nose!! Move the potatoes, move the tinfoil, wa-la chocolate cake!
Like a domestic pig to truffles (Wikipedia said they were domestic--yes,yes, I know, Wikipedia is full of errors and I'm just full of it) a domestic child is drawn to sugar. ;-) And after I did some THINKING, Sasha had no thought of slamming the door shut if a Mom showed up--you were standing right there! Maybe he figured if he was just NEAT about it, ... !!
He is really one observant little guy. I'll bet he saw or heard you put it in there, and then made a mental note to go check out what treasure might be behind the icebox door. Jackpot!!
