Sasha got his 2-year check-up today. 36 inches tall and a mere 29 pounds. I'm guessing that the small weight gain is the price of low-fat milk. His pants sure fit better. He's also very healthy. And strangely obedient with the pediatrician.
And for fun, more vocabulary from today:
Look, Mamu, little tayds! Watching a group of school kids walk down the sidewalk.
Highdeen in tardet. Hiding in the closet.
Dah la la. Gorilla.
And yesterday:
Lady Gaga! Bad Romance! Correctly identifying the song playing in the auto mechanic's garage.
Very healthy--good to hear! And strangely obedient with the pediatrician--must be a good one! I love his language and your translation--except for the very clear "Lady Gaga! Bad Romance!" I say Lady Gag Me in her meat dress. Blech. Hugs to you all! Thanks for the health and language updates!!
ReplyDeleteHard to believe Sasha is nearly 2!Congrats to all of you. And remember the rule of height- so he will most likely be at least 6 feet tall.
ReplyDeleteAnother word is says perfectly (and there are many) is "unicorn". One of his wooden blocks has a picture and he told me what is was. Amazing little boy!
What's the rule of height? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOk, I almost spit out my water laughing when I read about him knowing the Lady Gaga song!!!!! He is so funny and such a smarty-pants!! I cannot wait to see him in January and I'm shedding little tears knowing I won't be able to be with him on his 2nd birthday.*sigh*
ReplyDeleteFYI, him and his cousin TayTay are exactly the same height and weight :)
The rule of height is that if you double the height of a 2 year old, you will know the final height of the child. This is probably not developmentally accurate but it seemed to apply for my kids.
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting--I wonder how tall I was at 2--I'm one of the tallest kids in the family--5'8". Of course I have shrunk 1/4" but that seems pretty good or acceptable for my age. ;-) And thanks, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteSo the rule puts him at 6 feet tall as an adult. As long as he's not that tall at 12, I think we can afford to feed him through adolescence.
ReplyDeleteHow does he know what a unicorn is? He could only have learned that from the blocks.
Look out, TayTay, Sasha's going to be elbowing you out of the way for xmas presents!!
Wow, on his size, esp. when Carrie says that's exactly Tay's dimensions at THREE. Can't wait to see him, hear him and most of all hug him!!
ReplyDeleteWell, you could have friends and relatives donate to the non-profit Sasha Food Fund!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou know, for gifts--like I'd donate money to his fund in Monica's name for her birthday. ;-)
