Hanukkah 2011

We had a small Hannukah celebration last week with special guests Aunt Margot and cousin David.  And usual guests Nana and Zayde, bearers of gifts extraordinaire.  Sasha is now an expert in the religious ceremony of the Festival of Lights-- lighting the candles, eating Hanukkah gelt, and opening presents.  What else is there to know? Oh yeah, the thrill of high-stakes driedel-spinning.

Lighting the candles with Aunt Margot.

Even more presents!

  1. So nice to see Sasha again if only in pictures. No picture of Nana? She must have been busy. No pictures of Sandy cause you're always the photographer! love you all

  2. Awww, this is a great blog. Family, love, laughter. Doesn't get much better. And I love the look he's giving cousin David. Does he live in the NY area? And the laugh the Bub is enjoying with Zayde! And do tell what Sasha got as presents! Inquiring minds need to know. Far away relative needs to know. ;~)

  3. It was a joy to be there. Sasha had such fun and was so excited by each present. David has recently moved back to NYC and we look forward to seeing him often.

  4. Sasha had tons of fun! Surrounded by adoring fans, meeting his sweet cousin, presents, and more presents.

Since you asked, Mollie, here's a list from the top of my head: Maurice Sendak's Nutshell library, the latest Shel Silverstein book, a memory game, a cool t-shirt, a CD of Peter Paul and Mary and another of Really Rosie, a giant dinosaur puzzle, High Five magazine, and... more! My typing fingers are getting tired.
