That's a great "serious" tower and I adore the Bub's expression--is he just acting? And I love his horizontally-striped pants! Way cool Brooklyn Boy! Hugs to you all. (What kind of "blocks" are those?)
Such a serious face! Was that his description of his tower, "serious"? Gotta love it. It's a very cool tower. I didn't know he had that many of those magnetic blocks. Is that what they're called - blocks?
They're called Magna-tiles. He first fell in love with them at the Madison Children's Museum and Mom bought him a set that same day. He LOVES them. We got him a second set after I found a great deal on them at our local toy store. (They are not cheap.) They remain a popular part of his play repertoire after having them for at least a year.
What a cool idea! I want some!! And I'll work on my "serious face" too, since it seems that goes with playing with the Magna-tiles! And yes, I can imagine they are pricey, but they look like something that can be handed down to the (gulp!) next generation.
I just noticed in the new Serious Face profile photo that he's wearing the jacket I sent him. A tad long in the arms but he'll be able to wear it for awhile longer! :-) Actually his profile photo isn't a Serious Face--it's either contemplative (he's holding something) or sad. Hmmm.

ReplyDeleteAnd kudos to Grandma for buying the first set for Mr. Serious Face!

ReplyDeleteProbably sadness. He's reaching the end of the sparkly star cookie.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, the end of the "sparkly star cookie" sadness syndrome.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet. Him and probably the cookie!
After the painstaking intricacy involved in such a feat of architecture, maybe a smile cannot be expected?
ReplyDeleteThis is true.
